Why Apply?
It’s estimated that up to 50% of U.S. students struggle with the foundational skills they need to become fluent readers. Despite high quality early instruction, it isn’t enough to make these skills stick.
Educators need easy-to-implement literacy interventions to help these struggling readers, especially those in middle school and above, to reach fluency.
WordFlight is a personalized reading intervention program for grades 3+ that goes beyond the Science of Reading, using the Science of Learning to bridge the gap between phonics and fluency.
WordFlight helps move 90% of struggling middle school students to proficiency in foundational reading skills with just 60-80 minutes a week for one school year.
Who can apply?
We invite educators who are passionate about finding and using the best research and evidence-based literacy solutions to apply.
- Teachers may apply for their class. Administrators may apply for their school building.
- Find a friend! Schools and districts that have more than one application will be given highest priority.
- Educators must be in US-based schools that are not currently using WordFlight.
